HIKING
LOG
STATS MISC

The quick lowdown: NH native, love my state, I used to hike a lot some 25-30 years ago, then sporadically in NH and then in AZ when I lived there for 9 years. Finally decided I was going to get back to the Whites and do I what I missed so much. I am now one happy little boy (albeit a 45 year old one). I've always generally hiked solo until recently, when I came across a great group of clowns/friends which always make the hikes more fun. I still gotta have my solo hikes from time to time, though.

I have but one simple goal. Hike all 176 of the 3000 foot peaks in New Hampshire (with >200 ft. cols), and to see as much as I can while doing it. Outlooks, ponds, cascades, slides, anything that looks interesting. The 3k list brings you to a lot of places not normally covered in the other lists, mainly the North Country, but it also involves a lot of off-trail hiking (as do many of the features I'd like to see). I've grown to love bushwhacking, so one of my goals is already complete. When I'm done with the list, I'll go back to all the interesting tids and bits that I missed, and the peaks that I really enjoyed. You'll note I track some other lists, which I have a minor interest in, but may never bother to finish.

I don't know if I can add anything to some already great sites out there already, but I hope I may be able to provide another person's outlook that some might find interesting or amusing. It ain't fancy, it ain't pretty, but it's easy to navigate (one hopes). Both the lists and log have links to individual trip reports. The early (80's) reports aren't very detailed, just some notes I scribbled in my paper log. The latter ones are just plain too lengthy :)

There's also a Misc. section that contains various schtuff that's interesting. To me, in any case... I'm currently active on www.hike-nh.com and Rocks On Top.
